Podcasts are one of my favorite tools for a new business owner. When you’re first starting out, you are trying to find the cheapest way to learn as much as possible. Enter podcasts. Most of us started listening to podcasts for entertainment. Hello, Serial. We see you. In the five years since I first started listening to podcasts, I have learned more than I could have anywhere else. These 5 business podcasts have helped me to learn more about marketing, business foundations, and how other entrepreneurs have succeeded.
Why podcasts? Podcasts help you use your time wisely. When you’re folding laundry, turn on a podcast. If you have a commute, listen to podcasts on your commute. This is my favorite time to learn and listen. But, what should you be listening to?
Jenna Kutcher is one of my biggest inspirations. I found her podcast a few years before I started my business. A mix of interviews and solo episodes, this podcast has so much valuable information. From starting a business to marketing with over 450 episodes, this podcast covers it all. No matter what type of business you have or what your niche is, there is an episode for you.

I found the BossBabe podcast when I started listening to more business podcasts while working on starting my own business. Natalie and Danielle bring different perspectives on starting a business. While one always new she wanted to be an entrepreneur the other had a successful specialized career. These women will inspire you to take chances and trust yourself.

This is a newer podcast, which makes it so relatable to new business owners. Ginny and Laura started their business during the pandemic. Their story is relatable for anyone working in corporate and looking for more during this volatile time. Whether you love your corporate job or you’ve been looking for any way out, they bring both perspectives of corporate life.
Since there aren’t many episodes yet, this podcast is perfect for you to jump right in and listen to.
Amy Porterfield’s podcast is another podcast I found a few years ago when I first started looking into starting my own business. This podcast is a must for anyone who wants to build and market an online course. Amy covers a multitude of topics, but online courses are marketing are her specialty. If you are struggling with building your business and effectively marketing your product, start listening now.

As someone who loves to exercise and business, I enjoy listening to Marie discuss both parts of her journey to the business she has now. She started with a fitness social media account and grew it into a coaching business that morphed into another coaching business. This journey has inspired me to know that as I change and grow so can my business.
